Happy Mom Day
Happy Mommy Day to you!
Why are you crying, Mom?
"Why are you crying?" her son asked his Mom. "Because I'm a woman" she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will"..........
Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother
seem to cry for no reason? "All women cry for no reason"
was all his dad could say........
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering
why women cry...
Finally he put in a call to GOD; when GOD got on the phone
the man said, "GOD, why do women cry so easily?"
and GOD said.......
When I made woman, she had to be special. I made her
shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the World;
yet, gentle enough to give comfort....
I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the
rejection that many times comes from her children......
I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when
everyone else gives up and take care of her family through
sickness and fatigue without complaining......
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly...
This same sensitivity helps her to make a child's boo-boo
feel better and shares in their teenagers anxieties and
fears.......
I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults
and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.....
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts
his wife, but, sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve
to stand beside him unfalteringly.....
I gave her tears to shed. They are hers to use whenever she
needs them. They are her secret strength. They make her more like ME.....

Prayer for 5/6/12
In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums
up the Law and the Prophets.
( Matthew 7:12 *NIV )
This is often called the Golden Rule." As God's Children we are to obey this, for written in the law is; Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. (Leviticus 19:18)
Also Jesus Christ said, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. ( John 13:34 )
This "Golden Rule that Jesus taught us is the foundation of goodness and mercy, the kind of love that God shows to us each day!
So, Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one
another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Amen
( Colossians 3:13 )

4/26/12 prayer
We all become angry sometimes with the words or
actions of another. When we do it is important that we
do not respond to them with words of anger. For it is
written; He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity, and oh how true that is indeed!
( Proverbs 21:23 )
The Apostle Paul wrote;
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may
benefit those who listen. ( Ephesians 4:29 )
Further, James the half brother of Jesus' wrote; Out of the
same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers,
this should not be.
( James 3:10 )
After all; Pleasant words are a honeycomb sweet
to the soul and healing to the bones. ( Proverbs 16:24 ) So, keep your words soft, sweet and pleasing to our Heavenly Father. After all He hears every word that we say!
So just as King David did, remember these words when
someone angers you. Then next time before your anger
can take control, recite them in your mind. For he wrote;
May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord , my Rock and my Redeemer. Amen.

Book club reading
Just finished this book for my book club. What a horrible story. Over 300 girls were sent to this nunnery to deliver babies. They were treated like prisoners. The time period was in the 1950's. The nuns put their children up for adoption with falsified records.
