Cool pixel posters

Pixel Block Movie Posters Offer Bitmapped Drama

Posted: 30 Mar 2012 05:30 AM PDT

These funny pixelated movie posters were created by Colorado graphic designer Eric Palmer. While some may call them them 8-bit art, they kind of look like they wouldn't be out of place on an a 16-bit system like the Sega Genesis or SNES. That being said, most of these movies weren't even around when either 8 or 16-bit consoles were all of the rage.

Each of these posters is unmistakable for what it is: a tribute to the original movie, and there's always a nice little twist. I had fun discovering these. The Kill Bill poster is one of the best. It would look great on a yellow t-shirt. The Titanic poster is pretty funny too. Check out more of Eric's designs in the gallery below:

It's a perfect LEGO reimagining of the original movie poster as you can see below:

The only thing I'd have done differently is make the buildings out of LEGO bricks too. The guys at LEGO have revealed that they will be giving away 2 million of these awesome posters to LEGO and Avengers fans on the night of the movie's premiere on May 4th. They haven't provided details on what theatres will be offering the posters yet, but you'll definitely want to keep your eyes peeled for these.

Tech Culture: More Legos and Less Punch Buggy - The Blog of ElizabethN

Tech Culture: More Legos and Less Punch Buggy

Recently I was a guest on a panel podcast hosted by Cal Evansthat included Laura ThomsonBeth Tucker, and Anna Filina. It was entitled "Sexism in Tech" and was a response to some of the recent goings-on in the tech community. It was a very fun podcast, and I encourage you to give it a listen. Even if you're tired of hearing about the issue, I promise there will be something there you can take away, because we didn't just rehash the same old conversations.

While we talked about many things related to being a woman in a male-dominated field, one of the main things we talked about was this feeling of empathy. And it got me thinking about a few things.

So, my kids love to play the Punch Buggy Game. If you don't know the game, it goes like this: when you're driving around, if you see a VW Beetle, you call it out and punch the person next to you in the arm. In our car, it usually goes something like this:

Kid #1: "Punch buggy red!" *punch* "No punch backs."

Kid #2: "Ouch that hurt!"Kid #1: "No, it didn't."Kid #2: "Yes, it did!"Kid #1: "No, it didn't!"Me: "Alright, no more playing Punch Buggy if you all can't get along."
When someone posts something controversial or "offensive" on the Internet, it's kind of like playing a game of Punch Buggy, except it goes something like this:
Person #1: "Here's this thing that I think is fine."

Person #2: "Hey, that was offensive to me."Person #1: "No, it wasn't."Person #2: "Yes, it was!"Person #1: "No, it wasn't!"
The thing with punching someone in the arm is, you reallydon't know if you hurt them in the process. You aren't that person, and you're not feeling that pain. You can imagine what it would feel like for you if you were the one being punched and how you'd react. And if it's different than how the other person reacts then clearly there is something wrong with them. But I can give the same punch in the arm to Mike Tyson and an 83 year old woman, and I can pretty much guarantee it will not feel the same to each of them. (No, I'm not advocating punching 83 year old women in the arm, for the record.)My point is that unless you are a true empath, you can't feel the other person's emotions. So for you to tell me that something doesn't offend me, or that a punch doesn't hurt me, well, that's kind of ridiculous, isn't it.Just as there is a range of pain, there is a range of offensiveness. A punch from Mike Tyson will elicit a pretty similar reaction in everybody, just like there are things that happen that offend a large number of people. But generally speaking, what may be offensive to one person may or may not be offensive to another. The farther away you are from a situation, the harder it is to empathize. If you've not been a minority in a group before (especially in a career-type setting), then it is hard to even imagine what that's like. A male friend recently came to me and told me about a childcare situation he was in where he was the only male. In this group of females, he was already feeling a bit apprehensive when one of them made a joke about him being a pedofile, and why was he there, etc. etc. He didn't think the woman meant anything malicious, but was instead just clueless. Unfortunately, her insensitivity left my friend feeling hurt and even more awkward than before. Even though he loved working with kids, it tainted his whole experience, and made him question whether or not he even wanted to continue. A few synapse connections later, my friend came to me and said "now I know what you guys must feel like in this industry. I'm really sorry on behalf of us all." In our game of Punch Buggy, my friend realized that a punch in the arm can hurt, even if the other person didn't mean for it to.Now, in contrast to Punch Buggy, when my kids play with Legos, it usually goes something like this:
Kid #1: "Hey look at this car I made."

Kid #2: "Oh, that's cool! I like the window."Kid #1: That's supposed to be a door."Kid #2: "Ohhh, yeah. I get it. Ok."

The dynamic the kids have when putting all things aside and just being creative is completely different than the Punch Buggy game. In theory, they could argue that the car isn't really a car, because it doesn't really look like a car, and the door isn't a door at all, and that it really should be used for a window. But they don't. They just create. They don't criticize. They don't try and convince each other that the other person is wrong. They don't make assumptions about what the other person's intentions were, or how they are feeling. They just create. They encourage, they discuss, and they create.

This is the tech culture that I want. I want to remove gender bias. I want to remove age and racial discrimination. I want people to stop arguing over what programming language is better. Or platform. Or text editor. Instead, I want people to encourage, to discuss, and to just freaking create.

As I said on the panel discussion, this is our culture. It is whatwe make it. It is not dictated by some corporation somewhere. It's ours to make and mold and shape into whatever we want. So I say more Legos, and less Punch Buggy.

Bible verse 3/28/12

Do not let this World's values and moral standards take
charge of your thinking.  Instead let the Holy Spirit direct
your thinking, by renewing your mind.  For them you will be
able to understand what God's Will for your life is!

After All, it is when we start following God's Will for us that
we become filled with God's Love, Hope, Faith and Peace!
Also we become a new person, the person we were meant to
be.  The Apostle Paul best described this when he wrote;
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new
creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
( 2 Corinthians 5:17 )

So; Set your mind on things above, not on things
on the earth. ( Colossians 3:2 )  So;  that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and
perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,   ( Philippians 2:15 )

So "shine on" my friend, and may; The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
( 1 Thessalonians 5:28 )

Solyndra

Desperate to distance himself from the embarrassing taxpayer-financed failure that was Solyndra, President Obama recently claimed that Solyndra was “not our program, per se”: OBAMA CLAIMS SOLYNDRA WAS “NOT OUR PROGRAM, PER SE”: (David Jackson, “Obama: Solyndra ‘Not Our Program, Per Se,’” USA Today, 3/22/2012) WASHINGTON POST FACT-CHECKER GIVES OBAMA TWO PINOCCHIOS: “While the original law may have set up the loan guarantee program, Solyndra received its loan through an expansion of that program that the administration was quick to take credit for. (The Biden news release mitigates this a bit, but the reference to the 2005 law was not attributed to Biden.) “We find it hard to believe that any reasonable person could interpret Obama’s remarks this week as anything but a distinct effort to put the blame for Solyndra in some one else’s pocket. The president should accept responsibility, not shirk it.” (Glenn Kessler, “Obama’s Solyndra Shuffle,” The Washington Post, 3/23/2012) IN FACT, SOLYNDRA RECEIVED $535 MILLION IN STIMULUS MONEY: “In 2009, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, better known as the stimulus, added a new section — 1705 — which offered a more attractive loan package because it did not include credit subsidy fees. Solyndra ended up receiving a $535 million loan under section 1705 — not the original section 1703 program crafted during the Bush administration.” (Glenn Kessler, “Obama’s Solyndra Shuffle,” The Washington Post, 3/23/2012) POLITICO: “CHU: ENOUGH ABOUT SOLYNDRA ALREADY”: “Energy Secretary Steven Chu has just about had it with House Republican accusations about Solyndra and other clean-energy companies that won billions of dollars in federal loan guarantees. ‘After hundreds of thousands of pages of documents sent over, there's not any whiff that this was a politically influenced decision,’ Chu told reporters Tuesday shortly after wrapping up House committee testimony on the controversial program. ‘That's true of all the loans.’” (Darren Samuelsohn, “Chu: Enough About Solyndra Already,” Politico, 3/20/2012) Solyndra was one of the Obama administration’s “prime poster children,” from its initial funding under the Democrats’ stimulus down to its final collapse. Newly released e-mails show that the White House was “all-hands-on-deck” as Solyndra’s bankruptcy became imminent: “DOCUMENTS: WHITE HOUSE WAS ALL-HANDS-ON-DECK AS SOLYNDRA COLLAPSE NEARED”: (Ben Geman and Andrew Restuccia, “Documents: WhiteHouse WasAll-Hands-on-Deck as Solyndra Collapse Neared,” The Hill, 3/23/2012) “SEVERAL KEY WHITE HOUSE OFFICES WERE INVOLVED” WITH OBAMA ADMIN “MESSAGING PLANS” AS SOLYNDRA BANKRUPTCY WAS IMMINENT: “Several key White House offices were involved with the Obama administration’s messaging plans and other preparations as the collapse of the taxpayer-backed solar company Solyndra was imminent, newly released documents show. … A White House memo that noted the danger of “imminent bankruptcy” at the end of August 2011 says, “OMB, DPC and NEC have been working with press and OLA to be prepared for this news to break.” “Acronym translation: OMB is the Office of Management and Budget, DPC is the Domestic Policy Council, NEC is the National Economic Council and OLA is the Office of Legal Affairs.” (Ben Geman and Andrew Restuccia, “Documents: White House Was All-Hands-on-Deck as Solyndra Collapse Neared,” The Hill, 3/23/2012) WHITE HOUSE DISMISSED TALK OF INVITING SOLYNDRA EXECS AS OBAMA’S 2011 SOTU GUEST BECAUSE OF COMPANY’S FINANCIAL TROUBLES: “White House staff knew enough about Solyndra's troubles in January 2011 to dismiss talk of inviting the company's executives into President Barack Obama's special State of the Union box, internal emails released Friday show.” (Darren Samuelsohn, “W.H. on Solyndra: ‘Ugh,’” Politico, 3/16/2012) RELEASED E-MAILS: WHITE HOUSE REGARDED SOLYNDRA AS “ONE OF THEIR PRIME POSTER CHILDREN”: (Philip Klein, “EmailsShow Obama Donor Discussed Solyndra Loan with WH,”The Washington Examiner, 11/9/2011) Obama and the Democrats’ Solyndra amnesia reflects the Democrats’ central dilemma: they can run on their record, but doing so inevitably draws attention to their policy failures: OBAMA’S RE-ELECT DEVOTED ITS FIRST AD TO DEFENDING SOLYNDRA: “Don't think Chicago is deeply concerned about the brand damage that the Solyndra semi-scandal can wreak? Of all President Obama's vulnerabilities (Isn't this race supposed to be about the economy?), Team Obama chose to attack Solyndra right out of the gate, placing Obama, literally, in a sea of solar panels, amid quotes proclaiming him to be cleaner than clean -- wallowing in the future.” (Glenn Thrush, “Decoding Obama’sFirst Ad: S-O-L-Y-N-D-R-A,” Politico, 1/19/2012) OBAMA DOUBLED DOWN ON GREEN ENERGY IN STATE OF THE UNION: “Our experience with shale gas, our experience with natural gas, shows us that the payoffs on these public investments don’t always come right away. Some technologies don’t pan out; some companies fail. But I will not walk away from the promise of clean energy. I will not walk away from workers like Bryan. (Applause.) I will not cede the wind or solar or battery industry to China or Germany because we refuse to make the same commitment here. “We’ve subsidized oil companies for a century. That’s long enough. It’s time to end the taxpayer giveaways to an industry that rarely has been more profitable, and double-down on a clean energy industry that never has been more promising.” (“RemarksbythePresident in theStateof the Union Address,” The WhiteHouse, 1/24/2012) DESPITE A RECORD OF FAILURE: “REPORT: ENERGY LOANS COULD COST $3B” FROM “HIGH-RISK” GREEN PROGRAMS: (“Report: EnergyLoans Could Cost $3B,” Associated Press, 2/10/2012) NEW HOUSE OVERSIGHT REPORT: “SIGNIFICANT LOSSES ABSORBED BY TAXPAYERS AS A RESULT OF SOLYNDRA’S COLLAPSE IS JUST THE BEGINNING”: “After conducting a substantial review of the Department of Energy’s (DOE) loan guarantee program, it is clear that the significant losses absorbed by taxpayers as a result of Solyndra’s collapse is just the beginning. By the expiration of § 1705 program in September 2011, the DOE had approved 27 projects totaling more than $14.5 billion in guaranteed loans.” (“The Energy Department’s DisastrousManagement ofLoan Guarantee Programs,” HouseCommittee on Oversight and Government Reform, 3/20/2012) OBAMA’S “GREEN” PROGRAM “INFUSED WITH POLITICS AT EVERY LEVEL”: “Meant to create jobs and cut reliance on foreign oil, Obama’s green-technology program was infused with politics at every level, The Washington Post found in an analysis of thousands of memos, company records and internal e-mails. Political considerations were raised repeatedly by company investors, Energy Department bureaucrats and White House officials. “The records, some previously unreported, show that when warned that financial disaster might lie ahead, the administration remained steadfast in its support for Solyndra.” (Joe Stephensand Carol D. Leonnig, “Solyndra: PoliticsInfused Obama Energy Programs,” The Washington Post, 12/25/2011) CRONY CAPITALISM? WASHINGTON POST AUDIT FINDS $3.9 BILLION IN TAXPAYER MONEY WENT TO “21 COMPANIES WITH CONNECTIONS TO FIVE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION STAFFERS AND ADVISERS”: “During the next three years, the department provided $2.4 billion in public funding to clean-energy companies in which Wagle’s former firm, Vantage Point Venture Partners, had invested, a Washington Post analysis found. Overall, the Post found that $3.9 billion in federal grants and financing flowed to 21 companies backed by firms with connections to five Obama administration staffers and advisers.” (Carol Leonnig and Joe Stephens, “VentureCapitalists Play Key Rolein Obama’sEnergy Department,” The Washington Post, 2/14/2012)

Rabbits

My daughter has mentioned this to me and it is really sad that it happens. Be aware.
From she scribes blog:

Easter is NOT for Bunnies!

Posted: 22 Mar 2012 01:30 PM PDT

My family supports our local animal shelter as often as we can. We've adopted several animals from the shelter over the years (five out of six of our cats, a dog and even a hamster). Whenever possible we donate food, blankets, cleaning supplies and money. We make a point of visiting the shelter often (usually 1-2 times a month) just to talk with the animals, pet them and to shower them with the love and attention that they deserve. We do all of this because we want the animals to know that someone DOES love and care about them.

Our shelter is currently gearing up for "Kitten Month" (May) when there will be a massive onslaught of kittens. The "Cat House" (where the cats are housed at the shelter) is already at maximum capacity.

Do you know what type of animal shelters across the country see A LOT of in April and May, aside from kittens? You guessed it – Bunnies!

The reason why animals shelters across the country see a tremendous amount of rabbits brought into their care is because of Easter. Well meaning parents buy cute, fuzzy little bunnies for their children as Easter gifts without REALLY taking into consideration that bunnies are living, breathing creatures that require daily care and a long term commitment. A well cared for rabbit can live up to 15 years, about the same as a dog or cat.

If you are considering giving a child a bunny as an Easter gift, or know someone who is,PLEASE consider it carefully. If you really do want to commit to giving a bunny a loving, caring home then PLEASE ADOPT. There are bunnies waiting to be adopted at a shelter near you. Sadly there will be more available after the Easter holiday.

Did you know that there are "Bunny Mills" just like there are Puppy Mills? There are people out there who breed rabbits by the hundreds just in time for Easter. Many of these mills are not fit for any living creature. Most mills keep animals in small, unkempt cages, depriving them of proper nutrition, clean water and exercise. Often they are left to die when they become sick or too old to reproduce.

Some bunny mills ship out under aged bunnies before they are fully weaned. About 20% – 30% of these bunnies die on their way to the retailer and another 20% die before they are purchased. Almost 100% of the bunnies you see being offered for sale at Easter in pet shops are supplied by commercial operations that care more about profit than the health and well being of the animals.

Rabbits are the third most frequently surrendered animal at shelters, right after cats and dogs. Another sad statistic is that a staggering 95% of all bunnies purchased at Easter are dumped within their first year as pets and most of these adorable "Easter gifts" end up, if not homeless…DEAD! Rabbits are not easy to properly care for, contrary to what pet shops may tell impulse buyers. They are entirely unsuitable as companions for young children. It's a sad fact that many of the rabbits purchased on a whim during Easter time die within months, victims of unintentional neglect and cruelty. Others are abandoned, forced to live in tiny outdoor hutches and subjected to extreme weather, dumped off at overburdened shelters, or abandoned outdoors, where they are unable to fend for themselves and starve or are killed by predators. Rabbits that are sold in stores are domesticated and there for not fit to survive out in the "wild".

Each year, PETA receives scores of calls of concern about the use of live animals—mainly rabbits, but sometimes ducklings and chicks—as props in Easter photo sessions. Unsuspecting parents and kids might not realize it, but the animals used in these photo sessions are generally terrified and miserable.

Rabbits are sensitive animals who are easily stressed by unfamiliar surroundings. As "prey" animals, they often panic when handled; a frightened rabbit can bite and scratch, inflicting deep lacerations and puncture wounds. Rabbits are also delicately structured animals whose spines can snap just from being held improperly.

Using live rabbits in Easter promotions can sometimes encourage impressionable children to beg their parents to get rabbits as Easter gifts too.

Instead of live animals, a great option for kids is stuffed toy animals. They're more cost-effective for the studio, and unlike with live rabbits, homes don't need to be found for them after the Easter season. Using stuffed toys also eliminates the need for businesses to acquire a federal exhibitor's license from the U.S. Department of Agriculture—a requirement that PETA finds is mostly ignored by businesses that use rabbits for Easter photo shoots. Fortunately, several large companies—including Lifetouch, JCPenney, and Sears—have policies against the use of live animals as props.

The Professional Photographers of America (PPA) association, the largest nonprofit association of its kind in the world, has taken a stand against the use of live rabbits for photo shoots. Instead, PPA recommends the "Make Mine Chocolate!" campaign, which offers studios a full range of support for using large chocolate Easter bunnies wrapped in colorful foil and publicizing the promotion. PPA notes that studios can garner additional publicity by holding a post-Easter drawing for the chocolate bunny.

If you are considering giving a rabbit as an Easter gift PLEASE think long and hard about the commitment to the living, breathing creature. If you honestly cannot give it many years of love and care then please consider other options (like a plush animal instead). If you do decide to give a bunny as a gift PLEASE visit your local animal shelter before you purchase from the pet store. Or you can visitwww.PetFinder.org to find rabbits waiting for adoption at a shelter near you.

Ybuy Lets You Try the New iPad Before You Buy for up to a Month

Posted: 24 Mar 2012 09:00 AM PDT

The new iPad (which some people like to call the iPad 3) was released last Friday. Sure, some people are complaining about how the device gets too hot after continuous use, but that still won't detract tons of people who will eventually get the device.

Unfortunately, not everyone can afford to shell out $499 for even the most basic version of the new iPad. But if they know some people who are current members ofYbuy, a new gadget trial service, then they might be in luck.

ybuy screen

Ybuy will be offering the new iPad for rent, starting on April 1st. To take advantage of the offer, users need to sign up for a subscription, which is $24.95(USD) per month. You can then try it out for a maximum of 30 days before deciding if you want to keep it (therefore, buying it from Ybuy) or return it. Ybuy will be showcasing different gadgets every month, and if you're interested, then you can place an order and expect your gadget to be shipped to you within days.

The not-so-good news is that Ybuy is currently invitation only, so you'd need an invite from a current user in order to get in on the site. If you're interested, then you'd better scour your network for people who you can ask to invite you to the service.

Sanwa USB Reader Copies Memory Cards and More to Your Android Gadgets

Posted: 24 Mar 2012 11:00 AM PDT

If you own an Android smartphone or tablet, I bet on more than one occasion you have wanted to transfer images, video, or other data between the smartphone and an external device. This new media reader accessory called the Sanwa USB Reader/Dock will help you out.

sanwa usb reader android

The device will work on certain Android smartphones running Honeycomb 3.1 and up thanks to the enhanced USB host mode those devices have.  It also has the ability to connect USB drives and microSD, SD and miniSD memory cards. The media dock adapter even allows you to plug in a mouse and actually see a pointer on the screen, or you can also plug in a gamepad to control video games. However, it can only supply 100 mA max power to attached peripherals.

sanwa usb reader android 2

At this point, it's known to work with the Samsung Galaxy II, Sony Xperia NX SO-02D; Sony Xperia acro HD IS12S; Toshiba REGZA Phone T-01D; and Sony S-series tablet, and it's likely to work with other recent Android gadgets as well.

The Sanwa USB Reader is available direct from Sanwa Japan [JP] for ¥3,280 (~$40 USD). It sure would be great if somebody would make one of these for iOS devices too.

Star Wars Continuous-Line Drawings: The Pen is Mightier than the Lightsaber

Posted: 24 Mar 2012 12:00 PM PDT

You've probably done doodles with a single continuous line while talking to someone on the phone, but Star Warsgeek Sam Hallows took it to a whole other level by crafting these intricate drawings of Star Wars, each with a single line.

sam hallows continuous star wars line

If you've never tried using a single continuous lines to do drawings, give it a try and you'll see how hard it is to counter the instinct to pull up your pen. Sam never lifted his pen off the paper while creating these. His drawings include an AT-AT, X-Wing, the Millennium Falcon, C3-P0, and R2-D2.

Sam drew these for his independent final project on technology. He's had them put onto postcards which will be available for purchase soon. I wouldn't mind having these on some t-shirts as well.

As you know, Cold Case Posse investigators reviewed scores of authentic Selective Service registration forms obtained from the federal government though Freedom of Information Act requests – and only Barack Hussein Obama's reeked of intentional forgery and fraud.

If you'll look at Exhibit A (above), this is Obama's Selective Service registration form. Now, pay close attention to the Post Office date stamp, July 29, 1980, in the lower right corner, and compare it to Exhibit B (below), which presents four of the authentic Selective Service registration forms.

Did you catch that?

ALL of the authentic forms handed over by the feds have a Post Office stamp that indicated the year with four digits… It just so happens that the year designation in Obama's registration has two digits, "80" instead of "1980."

Here's where you ask 'how did that happen?' –

Well, the Cold Case Posse asked themselves the same question, and here's their theory:

Exhibit C (above) shows the standard date-stamp equipment used to stamp Selective Service registration forms – a close-up shows the three slots on the bottom of the stamp in which the month, day and year plugs were inserted. Now, look to Exhibit D (below) showing five examples of expected results from the pica stamp used by the U.S. Postal Service, the first two of which are from the same Post Office – Makiki Station in Honolulu, Hawaii – indicated on Obama's Selective Service registration.

And finally, for the best part. Though investigators were unable to obtain an authentic 1980 pica date stamp, they used their wits and cut a 2008 pica Post Office date stamp, inverted the "08" portion, and SURPRISE!

When it was place in the date compartment, the stamp printed an "80"IDENTICAL to the date stamp on Obama's Selective Service registration card (Exhibit E, above).

Finally, we come to Exhibit G (below) showing Obama's Selective Service registration stamp on the left and an authentic Selective Service registration on the right from the SAME MONTH, from the SAME POST OFFICE.

Could it be that the inked "19" just didn't hit the paper when the "80" did? It's unlikely. Especially when you notice the numbers "80" in Obama's card are out of line to the right, and the only feasible explanation is that when the numbers "08" were cut away from the "2008" date plug (like in the Cold Case Posse demonstration) they were not cut squarely.

After all, time was of the essence…

Sheriff Joe also asked in his letter that Romo open his own investigation to determine when and how Obama's Selective Service registration was submitted and entered into the agency's records. Romo, who was appointed by Obama in 2009 (and who reports directly to the president) was asked by Sheriff Joe to respond within 30 days regarding whether or not his office will provide the original document and if his agency will open its own investigation. And rest assured, we'll keep you posted.

Once the original is in hand, Sheriff Joe wants court-approved, forensic experts selected by his office to examine the original Selective Service registration form for its authenticity, as well as any microfilm or computer copies that may exist.

In the meantime, we MUST keep this active investigation going forward in its attempts to uncover the truth regarding Barack Hussein Obama's constitutional eligibility to appear on the November presidential ballots less than eight months away! With the mainstream media threatened into submission, only YOU and I can keep Sheriff Joe's investigation alive and well by continuing to show our support. After all, supporting Sheriff Joe and the Cold Case Posse is a cause YOU CAN AFFORD because America sure can't afford four more years of Obama.

That's why we're asking you to continue to support Sheriff Joe and his team of volunteers forming the Cold Case Posse by forwarding this e-mail and by making a contribution to this active investigation. Whatever you can afford - $10, $35, $60, $250 or more - will make a difference.

If everyone who reads this appeal gave $5 – not even enough for one Obama-gallon of gas in some places – it would raise millions, far above and beyond the necessary resources needed to uncover the truth!

Only you have the power to demand the truth - that's why, right now, you need to tell everyone you know about the EVIDENCE against Barack Obama, because the mainstream media definitely won't.

And in case you were wondering, per the United States Post Office, it is policy to use a stamp that contains four digits for the year.

Bloomin pizza break

From $5 dinner blog:
Bloomin' Pizza Bread
Source: The Girl Who Ate Everything; inspired from the Changing Table

1 unsliced round loaf sourdough bread
12-16 ounces mozzarella or Provolone cheese, thinly sliced
1 (3.5 ounce) package pepperoni, halved
3 Tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasonings
2 Tablespoons Parmesan cheese
pizza/marinara sauce for dipping

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cut the bread lengthwise and widthwise without cutting through the bottom crust. This can be a little tricky going the second way but the bread is very forgiving.

Place bread on a foil-lined baking sheet and insert cheese slices and pepperoni between cuts. Combine butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasonings. Drizzle or brush over bread with a pastry brush. Sprinkle bread with Parmesan cheese.

Wrap bread completely in foil and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Unwrap the bread and bake 10 more minutes, or until cheese is melted and pepperoni is a little crispy.
