Anniversary Time

I feel blessed everyday that I am married to such an AWESOME man. We will have been married for 15 years this week, February 18th. We have known each other for almost 19 years. Our baby girl is the same age I was when we met. How odd is that? Even odder to think I was that thin. LOL
So, lucky man was with me when I turned 21 & I am still drinking. LOL  Nice segue into the picture of the drink that I found to be so YUMMY! Yep Strawberry Margaritas are my #1 choice to drink and Willie's Ice House makes some delish ones <knock you on your butt ones> all nicely rimmed with sugar.
The hubs and I took the day off last Friday for our date day. We try to do it every year, while the kids are in school. We had no idea what to do. The movie we wanted to see, Legion, was not playing in a theater near us. I knew that we would be having crawfish, because we do it every year for our Anniversary. The hubs had the Gumbo & Shrimp w/fries. Willie's gumbo is wonderful, good serving size and tons of seafood. Nothing like a hot piping bowl of Gumbo on a cold dreary day.
We were on our way home when we received a call from baby Guido's school. His tooth was hurting and he didn't want to stay, not even for his Valentine's party. Now I know my son, and when he doesn't want to stay for a party then something is up. He had been complaining of his tooth hurting, but I knew it was because he has one coming in close to the one that was hurting. Of course, the dentist had just closed so, we had to wait until Monday to take him in. We kept giving him Tylenol & Advil as he needed it. He felt better (and kept telling me that, because he didn't want to go to the Dentist) but I told him we would still try to take him in if an appt. was available.
SO, that was our date. Remember never to plan - just go with the flow. LOL
It was all good!

Bean Boozled

Baby Guido got these Jelly Belly jelly beans the last time we went to the store. It took us about 3 weeks to finally get up the nerve to try them out. You see they may look like ordinary jelly beans, but they aren't - they come in flavors like skunk, vomit, booger, baby wipes, black pepper, etc. So in the box there are regular jelly belly too. I laid them all on the table in their coordinating colors and then counted to 3 - we each popped one in our mouth. It was an experience let me tell you - I lucked out that I only had 2 that were the gross flavors-pepper and moldy cheese, let me tell you they were nasty. Quick note- have a trash can near by to spit it out in because they definitely are punguent tasting. Good fun was had by all.  Would I try them again? Um, yes only if I have been drinking. LOL
Again, try them out so we can commiserate.

Happy eatings!

King Cake

February is one of my all time favorite months. Crawfish, King Cake, Valentine's, and our Anniversary - Yay baby.
We normally buy our King Cake from Kroger, but scored a Strawberry filled one at HEB. They come in all different flavors this is the first time that we have ever tried a filled one. It is like a big cinnamon roll. YUM!

I mailed one to my baby girl again this year. It made it there safe and sound. I wouldn't recommend sending cakes through the mail all the time. LOL

Go grab one & tell me what you think or tell me what other flavors you have seen.
