Zombie Car

My son would be so excited about this car. Me too!

The Walking Dead Creator Designs Zombie Survival Hyundai

If you woke up one morning and realized the zombie apocalypse was here, what vehicle would you want to fight off the hordes? I think I want something with a lot of payload capacity for all the weapons, Doritos, and Dr. Pepper I'd need to survive. I would at least want something big and rugged that could survive being set upon by the horde. One vehicle that would never come to my mind to fight the zombie apocalypse would be a Hyundai.

However, The Walking Dead Creator Robert Kirkman has created a cool Hyundai Elantra Coupe that I could certainly see being used to kill zombies. Apparently, the actual vehicle will be shown off on the Comic-Con show floor at the Future US booth in July, and I'm looking forward to seeing what it looks like.

The car appears to have riveted-on metal plates to protect it from zombies along with spinning wheel spikes to sever legs and a zombie plow with spikes in front. It's also got plenty of light for those nighttime zombie killing sprees and roof mounted escape panels. I still think you'd be better off with something that can could on or off-road. I vote for a zombie fighting Hummer. Or maybe one ofthese

iPhone Cases and no shoelaces again

iPhone Cases and no shoelaces again.

From Technobob blog:

Official Star Wars iPhone Cases Strike Your Phone's Back

Posted: 10 Jun 2012 08:00 AM PDT

If the rumors are true, Apple may be getting ready to announce the iPhone 5 next week, rendering your iPhone 4/4S obsolete. But there is a new hope, young Padawan. Accessory maker PowerA will soon release a line of officially licensed Star Wars cases for your phone.

There will be four Collector Cases designed after Darth Vader, C-3PO, R2-D2 and Chewbacca. Yep, the Chewie case has fur on it. There are also two less interesting Saga Cases featuring art from the Star Wars movie posters.

It's a shame they forgot to make one of Han Solo in Carbonite. The Collector and Sage Cases will be available later this year for $40 (USD) and $30 respectively.

Hickies: Turning Your Kicks Into Slip-Ons

Posted: 10 Jun 2012 07:00 AM PDT

Some people love their shoelaces, while others despise them. They're great if you have the time to painstakingly tie them into a neat bow and re-tie them in the same, careful manner every time they come undone. And if you're the clumsy type, then you'll have to be prepared to do the latter more times than normal.

But your shoelace-dependent footwear would be rendered useless without the laces itself – until Hickies came along.

They're a project by Mariquel and Gaston, who both hail from Brooklyn, New York. Basically, they're elastic bands that hook into your shoes' lace holes, replacing shoelaces altogether. That means no more shoelaces, no more unsightly bows, and no more tripping over untied laces.

They also add to the whole look of your shoes as well, since it's available in a wide array of colors. Interested? Then you'd better hurry because you've got just a few days to make a pledge on Kickstarter to support the project and get some Hickies for your shoes.
