Life-Sized LEGO Animals at the Bronx Zoo: No Honey, that Tiger Won't Eat You! Posted: 04 Aug 2011 05:09 AM PDT These amazing life-sized LEGO animals are part of the Great Summer Zoofari that's going on at the Bronx Zoo, until September 30. You'll find a bunch of different animals rendered in full size all from LEGO bricks, including penguins, giraffes, flamingos, and tigers. These sculptures must have taken massive amounts of time (and thousands of LEGO blocks) to construct. The aim of this is to show and bring to life the challenges that are faced by wildlife, due to habitat loss and other threats to their survival. Hopefully, in the future, this won't be the only way we'll be able to view these kinds of wild animals. The Bronx Zoo will host LEGO-building parties and other special events.
