Lego spice rack
LEGO Brick Spice Rack: Brick Oven Cooking
Posted: 15 Mar 2013 09:00 AM PDT
You can create all kinds of stuff with LEGO bricks. Then there are all of the things that you can create that look like LEGO bricks, but aren't. Here is a clever creation for that LEGO-themed kitchen you have been dreaming of.

Spice racks are hit and miss. It seems like they are either really nicely designed, or very ugly. This spice rack is most definitely geeky. Therefore it is awesome in my book. It was made by Matthew Ebisu, who wanted to spice up his kitchen with LEGO. Very clever indeed, Matthew.

The body and the studs of this spice rack are made of chipboard and cardboard. And if you want to make one yourself, you can download the design template here. I wonder if you could make one out of actual LEGO bricks

Hylian Banknotes: Link's Aching Back Would Love These
Posted: 15 Mar 2013 11:00 AM PDT
I'm not sure, but the reason why most early video games had coins or gems for currency was because of graphical limitations. It's easier to present a recognizable coin than paper money. But if Link was real I'm sure he'd rather have these neat banknotes instead of Rupees. Especially if one of them has a drawing of him on it.

These lovely bills were made by deviantART member G33k1nd159153, who says that he makes stuff for fun and incidentally would like to "get paid to have that kind of fun someday."

Well G33k1nd159153, perhaps your fake money will be your ticket to getting real money. Your link to the bank, so to speak. Sorry. Check out G33k1nd159153′s deviantART pageto see the images in high resolution.

Eye of Sauron Lollipops: Lick into My Eye!
Posted: 15 Mar 2013 02:12 PM PDT
One does not simply walk into the candy store. Though if you did, I'd hope that you and your companions would grab a batch of these spectacular lollipops that look like the Eye of Sauron.

They're made by Etsy artist Designer Lollipop, and they're made from isomalt, sugar, corn syrup. I've been told the black sugar on back is made from the souls of the dead- though they actually taste like delicious cherry.
Unfortunately, these lollies are already sold, but I'm sure you could whip up a spell to convince the candy maker to crank out another batch.

Portable scooter and Dalek pizza
MOVEO Electric Scooter: Pack It up, No Parking Necessary Posted: 15 Feb 2013 07:00 AM PST Parking a car can be a real hassle in big cities, and there are plenty of reasons why I drive a scooter: parking is free and it's no problem. That being said, I can already imaging people toting around this foldable, electric scooter to go where they need to, completely eliminating the need for parking.
The Antro MOVEO can be folded up and wheeled about like a suitcase. When unpacked, it can weave its way through traffic, and get you wherever you need to go on short urban hauls. It weighs only 55 pounds, and has a seat mounted on the chassis. The scooter has an enclosed body and can go up to 28mph. It's powered by in-wheel electric motors that have a range of 22 miles, while taking only an hour to charge.
Antro anticipates a production run of about 4,000 scooters per year, and the MOVEO is expected to sell between $3,100 to $4,600(USD). I can already see people packing these in the trunks of their cars so they can make short runs around town without losing their parking spaces.

Who Ordered the Dalek Pizza with Extra Extermination? Posted: 15 Feb 2013 06:00 AM PST The Daleks are the most fearsome creatures that the universe has to offer. They must be since they keep "almost" destroying Earth, the universe and everything in it. The Doctor has known no stronger foe. And now, feast your eyes on the supreme Dalek with extra cheese. If they can not kill us from without, they would kill us from within. Dalek pizzas were made. With heartburn searing human insides so intensely that humans turned to ash after two hours of digestion, they began their plan for domination (and a thriving pizza chain named Taste of Skaro). Their plan would have worked perfectly. If only that damned blue box hadn't shown up to pick up an order. And that was the end of the great Dalek pizza master plan |

Quinoa & Feta Stuffed Peppers
Begin with:
3 medium sized bell peppers, in an array of colors if possible. Just don't choose green.
Preheat the oven to 375∘F. Halve the peppers lengthwise and remove the seeds. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of sea salt and rub it all evenly, from the backsides and throughout the cavity. Put them face down on a foil lined baking sheet and bake until soft but still retaining shape and bright color, about 15 to 20 minutes.
For the quinoa stuffing you will need:
1 cup quinoa, prepared as per package instructions or raw preparation
1 small zucchini, cut into small quartered chunks
4 oz. cubed goat's milk feta
1/4 cup cured black olives, pitted and chopped
1/2 cup fresh chopped parsley
1/4 cup fresh chopped oregano
1/4 cup fresh chopped dill
1/4 cup fresh chopped chives
1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
juice of 1 lemon + 1 tsp lemon zest
sea salt and fresh black pepper
To garnish & serve:
extra virgin olive oil
parsley sprigs
pinch sweet ground paprika
Assembly:
Combine all quinoa stuffing ingredients in a large bowl. Season to taste with sea salt n pepper. Gently toss until all seasonings and herbs are evenly combined.
Spoon quinoa mixture into each pepper. Arrange on a plate, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and a sprinkling of paprika. Garnish with parsley sprig and serve.
